Vigilant Home Watch was founded in 2024 by Mike Lagana. The home watch and maintenance management service was conceptualized in 2017 and the groundwork began to be laid. As the Covid pandemic unfolded, the need for an experienced home watch service became more apparent. Mike discovered the National Home Watch Association early 2024 and became an accredited member. Vigilance is in our company DNA.

Vigilant Home Watch Hawaii is accredited with the National Home Watch Association (NHWA) and our team currently includes inspectors Mike Lagana, Daniel Lagana and Matt Roman, and office administrator Kayla Pardoe. Vigilant Home Watch is bonded and insured and our mission is to be your knowledgeable and trustworthy eyes and ears on the island while you are away from your home.

Mike and his wife Sarah have been married for 35 years and have resided on Kaua'i since 2001. Mike grew up in the construction industry, learning the carpentry trade from his father since he was a young boy and obtained his general contractor license in California in 1993. Later in 1993 the family relocated to Teton Valley Idaho where Mike worked as a custom home builder in Jackson Hole Wyoming. Mike and his family moved to Kaua'i in 2001, being a part of the construction of some of the finest homes on the island as well as contributing to homes built with Habitat for Humanity.

He obtained his general contractor license in the state of Hawaii in 2005. After more than 30 years in construction, Mike became a nationally certified home inspector and founded Kaua'i Home Inspection Services (KHIS) in 2013 and earned the Master Inspector designation in 2016. KHIS is a family run business and has established a standard of excellence in home inspections.
